If you ask me, what is Kerala’s biggest problem today, I would say, it is the garbage! As the Malayali is very conscious of his physical cleanness and wellbeing and he will take his garbage and put it on the street. So that is very, very serious problem as I see it.

One of the Kani tribe chiefs told me: We never had anything white! We drunk no milk, we ate no salt, we ate no sugar, we did not consumed processed flour. We had the millets, the grains, spices and herbs in the forests. I call it a white diet.
