DESHAPPALAMA: ANJU MOZHIPPADANGAL

NOTE: DESHAPPALAMA: ANJU MOZHIPPADANGAL = MATTANCHERRY: FIVE PICTORIALS WORDS or FIVE PICTORIAL SAYING.

DESHAPPALAMA - Desham is a 'Measurement  for measuring territory or place' just like district or state and Ppalama means 'excess of one thing or a lots things happening on a one thing'. We can say that DESHAPPALAMA means versatile or complicity of living persons or happened things on a particular territory (Mattanchery).
ANJU MOZHIPPADANGAL - Anju means 'Five' and Mozhi means 'Words or Verbal saying' and Padangal means 'Pictures'.

Like myths, Mattancherry is a place that is woven from antiquity and multiplicity. It lives in many layers of occupations, communites, languages, and rthyms. Its character must be composed of the memory, present and will of the people living there.

These speech-portraits are first attempts at confronting the single-person nations of Mattancherry and rendering them in poetry.
