I used to say to my students: “Go back to the roots of ayurveda!” What I meant was not only philosophical and metaphorical meaning, but also, I wanted to motivate them to go to basic principles of Ayurveda, prepare the medicines from local herbs and plants. I asked them to prepare it, give it to the patients, and observe the changes. They should ‘feel it’. That is the main thing, to feel changes the patients are going through. Doctors should able the gain the confidence of the patient and should stick with basic principles of Ayurveda result will come in your way.

They should know the ingredients and consistence of medicines. Nowadays Government has started to include basics of Ayurveda in the curriculum it may help the create awareness in the students. The treatment should be systematic and involve also invisible components of personal sensitivity and emotions.
