Spirituality is something that everyone has to believe in. There is something really supernatural much above our intelligence. That’s what we call God. Ayurveda has Dhanvantari as its God. We believe in Him a lot because without His blessings nothing will happen.
Whatever happens, we say it’s the blessings of the God. For ultimately, it is He who decides what has to happen. We are only people on our journey of life, which is already written for us. We’re going through it and doing it in a best possible way. We should have a healthy body, we have to take care about our health till the end of our life. The God is the one, who helps us. That’s where spirituality and ayurveda are connected.
Although we are called with modern word ‘doctors’ (especially young people prefer it), every day we pray to Dhanvantari Murthi, before we start the treatment. As the doctors, we are not the supreme. We cannot heal everybody, but we can refer the case to the best specialist and help patient in the healing process. But mistakes if it come, it's not good for the patient. We cannot tolerate the mistakes from our hands - this is the only pray.
